Robert Boyle was born on January 25, 1627. He was a scientific investigator in different areas, however, his major interest was chemistry. During his studies, he found that there is an inverse relationship between pressure (P) and volume (V) of an ideal gas at constant temperature and quantity. The relationship is named Boyle’s law in his honor. Boyle’s law is important to us, as it explains the behavior of gases.
